SPORTING ACTIVITIES - Throughout the year Port Macquarie hosts many high quality sporting events. There is the Australian Ironman Triathlon, the Half Ironman, pre-season Australian Rugby League trials, NSW Touch Football tournament, tennis tournaments, body boarding, long boards, sailing, Air Nautiques Australian Pro Tour of Wakeboarding, swimming, the Pacific Coast Slam international basketball, gymnastics, surf life saving, cricket, hockey, baseball, Golden Lure Game fishing Tournament, croquet carnivals, lawn bowls, Beach Volleyball Tour, Australian F1 Superboat Series and many others. Something for everyone and it all happens here.

GO KARTS - The Pacific Park International race Circuit is located 20 minutes south from the Town Centre off the Pacific Highway. Just over 1 km, the circuit is a challenge for all and hire karts are available.

SKIRMISH SHARKEY'S - This one will be talked about for years to come. The paint balls do sting a bit but I have been told this adds to the adrenaline rush. Face mask - overalls and some extra padding if you want it. Ph 6562 1522 This is off the Pacific Highway on the way to Kempsey.

TENNIS - THE COURTS ARE AT YOUR BACK DOOR. How convenient is that? Pop over and see Greg or John the two professionals or give them a call on Ph 7584 9940 to book a court. They usually have a few spare racquets and for the serious players slip in a few private lessons.

LAWN BOWLING - The Eastport bowling club couldn't be any closer. They have twilight casual day when you don't have to wear white and I believe the restaurant does some great deals. All you can eat seafood special. Ph 6583 1153

HYDRO GOLF/MINI PUTT PUTT - Try hitting floating targets. The tee off is undercover, nice to know if it's a rainy day. Very economical, or have a go on the 27 hole mini Putt Putt course. Open 10 - 4.30 Ph 6583 3200. Located a short distance from town, drive along Hastings River Drive then left into Boundary Street.

CAMEL RIDES - This is different. Camel riding along the sands of Lighthouse Beach.. For 20min to 1hour. Ph 6583 7650 1 km south of the Lighthouse Surf Club.

FEELING ADVENTUROUS - There are many self drive 4WD tracks around the Hastings area if you feel like getting off the beaten track.
